Cairo- St. Catherine - Taba 4 Days/3 Nights

Day 01 Arrival Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by an Excel Travel representative who will assist you through the immigration process. Modern air-conditioned coaches will then drive you to your hotel in Cairo. Your representative will ensure a smooth and quick hotel check-in.
Dinner in an oriental restaurant followed by overnight at your hotel in Cairo.

Day 02 Cairo sightseeing (The Great Pyramids – Sphinx – Egyptian Museum – Coptic Cairo)
Buffet breakfast then start a tour to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum of antiquities and then drive to old Cairo to visit the Coptic area with the hanging church & Ben Ezra synagogue. The Great Pyramids of Giza; (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus) were reckoned by the Greeks to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A single pyramid is built with 2.300.000 blocks, each weighing an average of two and a half tons. In the face of such immensity, one cannot help but feel the wonder and awe that so many writers and artists have sought to convey over the centuries. The Cheops Pyramid is more interesting, because its interior burial chambers are open for inspection by the public. Not far from the Pyramids is the Great Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren (2620 BC). Built from natural yellowish limestone and standing 65 feet-high and 187 feet-long, this unforgettable statue combines the head of a Pharaoh with a lion's body.

The Egyptian Museum; was established by the Egyptian government in 1835.  The present museum building was built in 1900, in the new classical style by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon.  The museum exhibited collections now exceed 120,000 objects ranges from pre historic era to the Greco Roman period. It has 107 halls, and the ground floor houses huge statues.  The upper floor houses small statues, jewels, Tutankhamen treasures and the mummies.  The museum also comprises of a photography section and large library.
A hall for the Royal Mummies was opened at the museum, housing eleven kings and queens.
 
Coptic Cairo is an area in Old Cairo where exists the Babylon Fortress, the Coptic Museum, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George and many other historic Coptic churches and sites. In Christianity, it is believed that the Holy Family visited this area and stayed in on of the sites there; Abu Serga.
Lunch will be served in an oriental restaurant followed by a drive back to your hotel.
In the evening you will be offered an optional dinner cruise or a tour to the Sound & light show at The Great Pyramids of Giza.
Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.
 
Day 03 Cairo – St. Catherine
Early breakfast in the hotel followed by checking out.You will be taken on a drive along the Gulf of Suez stopping first at Hammam Faraoun (the Pharos bath) where you will visit the therapeutic springs that have sulfur water. Then continue left towards St. Catherine area stopping en route to visit the Oases of Firan (the biggest in Sinai with about 20,000 palm trees). There you will get a chance to glance the Greek Orthodox monastery of the 7 nuns & the ruins of the old Byzantine church.Check in the hotel upon arrival. Drive to the village of St. Catherine for exploring the area there.Dinner & overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 Mount Moses - St. Catherine – Taba Border
Tea & Coffee will be served around 02h00 to kick-start the adventure of an unforgettable climb up the Mount Sinai – Mount Moses – for 3 hours.
*You may choose to ride a camel till two thirds of the mountain at an extra charge.Enjoy the most spiritual scenery from the top of the mountain & take some shots for the sun rise before walking down to the bus to drive back to your hotel to refresh & pack.Breakfast will be served before driving back to visit St. Catherine monastery & the most preserved church with its incomparable icons.After the visit we drive on the Asphalt road to Taba Border (about 175 km) stopping in route to have lunch in a restaurant by the beach in Nuweibaa and then a short stop before Taba to overview the Pharos’ Island.Assist through the immigration procedure to depart to Israel
