Four Seasons to Open New Luxury Hotel Behind the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo
A new era of luxury is unfolding in West Cairo as Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG), begins construction on a prestigious hotel complex directly behind the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). This visionary project is set to become one of the largest and most distinguished hospitality destinations in the region, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a leading global tourism hub.
Spanning approximately 350,000 square meters, the upcoming Four Seasons Grand Egyptian Museum Cairo will combine architectural elegance with unmatched service. Guests can look forward to high-end rooms and suites, fine dining restaurants, conference and events spaces, and landscaped recreational areas designed to offer both serenity and sophistication.
A highlight of the project is its dedicated pedestrian tunnel system, linking the hotel directly to the Grand Egyptian Museum — an innovative feature that allows visitors to move effortlessly between modern luxury and ancient heritage. This seamless integration embodies Egypt’s new vision for the Pyramids Plateau and GEM area, which is being transformed into a world-class tourism and cultural destination.
The new development also strengthens the long-standing partnership between TMG and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, a collaboration that began more than two decades ago with the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and expanded to include Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stefano, Four Seasons Madinaty, Four Seasons Resort South Med, and the upcoming Four Seasons Luxor.
TMG’s CEO, Hisham Talaat Moustafa, highlighted the strong performance of Egypt’s luxury hospitality market, noting that room rates at top-tier Cairo hotels now exceed USD 1,000 per night, with Aswan averaging around USD 850. This surge reflects both the growing demand for premium experiences and the enduring strength of Egypt’s tourism sector.
Scheduled to open within three years, the Four Seasons Grand Egyptian Museum Cairo promises to redefine the intersection of heritage, innovation, and luxury hospitality, offering travelers a once-in-a-lifetime stay experience just steps from the world’s greatest ancient wonders.
