Marriott International has announced plans to introduce nine new hotels and resorts across the country through a partnership with Misr Italia Properties and People & Place. Together, the projects will add more than 1,500 hotel rooms and branded residences, further strengthening Egypt’s position as one of the region’s fastest-growing luxury destinations.
The developments span some of the country’s most sought-after locations. Along the Red Sea, Ain Sokhna will welcome an Autograph Collection hotel, while Ras El Hekma is set to receive both a Ritz-Carlton resort and another Autograph Collection property, reflecting the continued transformation of Egypt’s Mediterranean coastline into a world-class leisure destination.
In Greater Cairo, Marriott’s expansion will introduce a new Autograph Collection hotel at Garden 8 in East Cairo alongside a Luxury Collection hotel in West Cairo’s Hills of One development. Together, these projects will bring internationally recognised luxury brands to two of the capital’s fastest-growing lifestyle districts.
The announcement builds on Marriott’s long-term investment in Egypt and reflects growing confidence in the country’s tourism sector. With visitor numbers continuing to rise and significant investment in infrastructure and hospitality, Egypt is steadily expanding its portfolio of premium accommodations to meet increasing international demand.
For travel advisors and tour operators, these additions will offer even greater flexibility when designing luxury itineraries, allowing guests to experience internationally renowned brands across both coastal escapes and vibrant city stays.
