Egypt has approved a new set of tourism-boosting measures, including extending easy visa policies until 2027 and launching a luxury tourist sleeper train project. The cabinet, chaired by Mostafa Madbouly, confirmed the extension of the free emergency-entry visa for air arrivals at Luxor and Aswan during the summers of 2026 and 2027, as well as the continuation of the free 96-hour transit visa until April 2027. In parallel, the government approved a partnership with Arsenale S.p.A. to manage and operate a high-end tourist sleeper train, aimed at attracting premium travelers and enhancing Egypt’s portfolio of experience-based tourism offerings.
