Egypt’s tourism sector achieved a landmark year in 2025, welcoming nearly 19 million tourists, a 21% increasecompared to 2024, according to figures from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The growth significantly outpaced the global average of 5% reported by UN Tourism, driven by expanded air connectivity, a 32% rise in charter flights, and exceptional performance in destinations such as New Alamein City. Cultural tourism also surged, with archaeological sites and museums welcoming over 18.6 million visitors, highlighting Egypt’s continued global appeal across cultural, leisure, and beach tourism segments.
