Accor has announced the development of a new Mövenpick hotel in West Cairo, Egypt, as part of its continued expansion in the Middle East and Africa. Scheduled to open in 2028, the 220-room property will be located in Sheikh Zayed City, a rapidly growing urban hub west of the capital.
Developed in partnership with Crest Development and its real estate arm, Living Lines, Mövenpick Cairo West is part of a larger mixed-use complex. Its prime location will serve both business and leisure travelers, offering proximity to major business districts, universities, hospitals, and top tourist attractions such as the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza—just a 20 to 30-minute drive away.
The hotel will feature a comprehensive range of amenities, including two restaurants, a bar, a 500-square-meter ballroom, four meeting rooms, a spa, a fitness center, and two swimming pools. Designed to cater to both corporate and family guests, the new property aims to deliver Mövenpick’s signature hospitality in a modern, accessible setting.
This project supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 plan for sustainable urban growth and is expected to boost tourism and job creation in the region. It also underscores Accor’s commitment to strengthening its portfolio in high-potential markets across the Middle East and Africa.
