Egypt’s timeless wonders just had a visit from one of global business television’s most familiar faces!
Robert Herjavec — Canadian-Croatian entrepreneur and star of the US hit show Shark Tank — toured the iconic Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) this past Saturday, accompanied by his team. The visit was organized by the Egyptian Tourism Authority and Orascom Pyramids Entertainment as part of Egypt’s efforts to promote its world-famous cultural landmarks and elevate its profile on the global tourism stage.
While exploring the Giza Plateau, Herjavec viewed the site’s latest enhancements, including improved walkways, new visitor signage, and upgraded services — all aimed at enriching the modern tourist experience. The tour ended with a scenic lunch overlooking the pyramids — a highlight that perfectly captured Egypt’s unique blend of ancient majesty and contemporary hospitality.
He also visited the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) — soon to be officially inaugurated on July 3 — and praised Egypt’s remarkable cultural legacy.
Herjavec’s trip to Egypt coincided with his appearance as a guest investor on Shark Tank Egypt, the local adaptation of the globally popular series where entrepreneurs pitch to investors for funding and mentorship. Speaking ahead of his visit, Herjavec shared his admiration for the region’s talent and innovation: “The talent, the ideas, and the drive coming out of this market—it’s incredible.”
A pioneer in cybersecurity and founder of The Herjavec Group, Robert Herjavec’s visit reflects the growing global interest in Egypt — not just as a tourism destination, but as an exciting market for business, innovation, and cultural experiences.
