Travel Update: Egypt Remains Safe, Stable & Fully Operational
We want to take a moment to address any questions or concerns you may have received from clients regarding travel to Egypt in light of ongoing regional tensions. The short answer: Egypt is fully operational, welcoming travelers as normal, and your clients are in safe hands.
Egypt’s Position in the Region
Egypt maintains a neutral and balanced diplomatic position with respect to the current regional tensions. The country is not part of the ongoing conflict, hosts no foreign military bases, and continues to enjoy strong diplomatic relations with all parties involved. Geographically, Egypt sits approximately four hours by flight from the Gulf States — a meaningful distance that underscores its separation from areas of active concern.
What the Data and Authorities Are Saying
The U.S. Department of State’s travel advisory for Egypt remains unchanged at Level 2 – “Exercise Increased Caution” — the same classification applied to popular destinations such as France and The Bahamas. Importantly, the advisory’s restrictions apply only to specific areas such as the Northern and Middle Sinai Peninsula and parts of the Western Desert, none of which feature on standard tourist itineraries.
Egyptian airspace remains open, commercial airports are operating as usual, and the U.S. Embassy in Cairo continues to function normally. Condé Nast Traveler has also recently published an article confirming that Egypt has not been directly affected by the wider regional tensions and that tourism operations are continuing normally.
On the Ground: Business as Usual
Tourism across Egypt’s key destinations — Cairo, the Nile Valley, Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea resorts — is running smoothly and without disruption. Hotels, tourist sites, and services are fully operational. In fact, the volume of inquiries and bookings we are receiving for the coming months remains strong, and we are currently expanding our team to meet that demand and maintain our standard of service.
