It is no secret that the Nile holds a certain magic, captivating all who encounter it.
Our ancient Egyptian ancestors knew it, and here we are, thousands of years later, still enchanted by—and chasing—that very same magic.
This month, we spotlight three new Nile vessels offering different ways to experience the river: Historia Beyond, SB Hayah and ORO II.
Historia Beyond
Expected to begin operating: March 2027
Historia Beyond is a new luxury vessel from AD Nile Cruises featuring 28 accommodations. These will include two 60-square-metre Royal Suites, 20 40-square-metre Suites and six 22-square-metre Luxury Cabins.
Facilities are expected to include two plunge pools, a specialty restaurant, a spa, a gym, lounges, a sauna and steam rooms.
SB Hayah Dahabiya
Operating from: 2026
SB Hayah is an eight-suite luxury dahabiya offered on both shared and private-charter bases. Its facilities include a sun-deck pool, gym, massage room, steam room and sauna.
The vessel offers a guaranteed four-night Luxor-to-Aswan departure on the first Monday of each month.
ORO II
Regular departures expected to begin: February 2027
ORO II is a seven-accommodation dahabiya offering intimate journeys between Luxor and Aswan. Its programme will include three- and four-night itineraries, providing a smaller-scale option for travelling along the Nile.
With different capacities, facilities and sailing formats, Historia Beyond, SB Hayah and ORO II represent three new additions to Nile cruising. SB Hayah is available in 2026, while Historia Beyond and ORO II are expected to begin operating in 2027.
