A new chapter begins at the Giza Plateau as the King Khufu Restaurant Complex opens its doors to evening visitors since 12 June. Operated by Orascom Pyramids Entertainment (OPE) in collaboration with Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, the night opening marks a milestone in Egypt’s mission to elevate its world-renowned archaeological sites.
Visitors can now enjoy sunset and evening dining in view of the Great Pyramids, with shuttle buses transporting guests from the newly built Visitors Centre. The route to the complex is illuminated by solar-powered lighting, ensuring both safety and sustainability.
The complex features a curated selection of upscale dining venues—Khufu Restaurant, Khufu’s Bistro, Ladurée Khufu, Babel, and Breadfast Café—designed to appeal to international palates while preserving the site’s timeless atmosphere.
Part of a wider redevelopment plan for the Giza Plateau, this initiative supports Egypt’s national tourism strategy, aiming to welcome 30 million tourists annually by 2028. By blending modern hospitality with ancient majesty, the evening opening of Khufu’s complex invites guests to see the Pyramids in a new light—quite literally.
